Campers not Cubicles

First things first, there's nothing wrong with working in a cubicle, I worked in a cube farm for many years. Met some great friends, dealt with a lot of corporate garbage, never cared for Tammy from HR, never could figure out what Kevin in the corner office actually did, you know typical corporate life... and that's where this story begins.

Many years into cube farming I kept getting problems from my boss that I couldn't solve. I thought to myself, "am I stupid, I can never solve these problems???". Then I started Easy Camper Rental (that's another story) and a few years in I realized that I never had a problem I couldn't solve and realized what Kevin was doing all these years. Kevin, like most people, lacked foresight (putting it nicely or HR Tammy will get mad) so he made terrible decisions which created problems which he passed on to others which then passed to me. I have something called accountability, so I actually tried to solve the problems instead of passing them along like a good corporate goon. Kevin then runs the company into the ground and then fails upward into another job somewhere else, and I'm left with all Kevin's problems... so goes the corporate life. (Tammy and Kevin are fictional, but if you've worked in a job long enough you know exactly who I'm talking about)

I learned a very important lesson, the solution to the vast majority of problems is don't make bad decisions in the first place. Easy Camper Rental has been crafted from a continuous string of thoughtful decision making and ensuring the highest level of hospitality (this is different from service, don't get me started on that).

I never planned to franchise the company, but Josh (owner of Valentine, NE location) convinced me to give it a try then Stephanie (owner of Alpine, WY location) came onboard a couple years later. They are both awesome and I'm sure anyone who has met them would agree. Now is the time to add a couple more to this great team!

If you, or anyone you know, has ever thought about owning your own business whether small (side gig) or large (full time), and you don't like Tammy or Kevin either then click the link below and fill out the contact form on the website under the "Locations" expand section or call/text me (text me a high five if you at least liked the story or can relate).

Thanks!
